Chicago, Illinois - The Polish National Alliance Senior Groups celebrated the Christmas Holiday. The North Side Seniors gathered at the PNA Home office on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 and the South Side Seniors celebrated on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Mayfield Banquet Hall. A total of over 200 guests had attended both luncheons.
PNA Vice President Paul Odrobina was emcee for the North Side, and led everyone in prayer and a toast for a healthy and happy holiday. President Frank Spula gave good wishes for a Merry Christmas and Healthy New Year. Commissioner of District 12 Barbara Wesolowski and former PNA Director filled in as emcee for Mr. Odrobina on the South Side when he was called to a last minute meeting. Introduced guests included: (North Side) President Frank Spula and Treasurer Marian Grabowski, PNA Director Wanda Penar and Commissioner of District 13 Wanda Juda, (South Side) PNA Director Christine Domalewski, Commissioners of District 12 Barbara Wesolowski and Jerzy Hejna former Directors Cecelia Tomaszkiewicz, and Arthur Trybek, former Commissioners Anna Kokoszka, and Roman Bucon (District 12) and the volunteers that help at the meetings, Irene Spiewak, Roman and Anna Bucon, Florence Jadach, Loretta Waltee, Barbara Wesolowski, Christine Domalewski and Eleanor Jasiorkowski and the Home Office Staff Joan Oskorep, and Robert Jadach.
Both parties had delicious food, great atmosphere, good company and wished each other well in the year ahead. The "Joe Pat" Orchestra under the Direction of Frank Gentille entertained the seniors before and after dinner with a variety of music to dance on the South Side, while the North Side sang Christmas Carols led by Irene Klatka.
