60th PNA Golf Tournament

The Polish National Alliance’s 60th National Golf Tournament was held on July 28-29, 2023, at Northwinds Peninsula Golf Club in Central City, PA. Lodge 1327 in Johnstown, PA, successfully hosted the event.  

Our golfers enjoyed an evening of hospitality after registering at the Moxham Lodge 1327 facility in Johnstown, PA. Golfers enjoyed a beautiful Friday of golf. On Saturday, a small storm greeted the golfers. However, the skies cleared soon after for the golfers to enjoy. Overall, there were two amazing days of golf and camaraderie. 

The tournament concluded with a dinner, followed by award presentations. The PNA Home Office was represented by Vice President Marian Grabowski, Director Jeff Twardy, and Fraternal Events Coordinator Mary Srodon. 

Vice President Grabowski, who also served as Chairman of the Fraternal Committee, thanked everyone who attended or assisted with the event in any way. 

We were thrilled to have over 82 participants join us for the 60th anniversary of the national golf tournament. The youngest participant was Sam Smallhoover from Lodge 1052 of Pittsburgh, PA. The oldest participant was Frank Ruccio from Lodge 352. The fraternal award was presented to Lodge 352 for having the most participants. An honorable mention went to Lodge 1052 from Pittsburgh, PA, for having 16 golfers present.

A special thank you goes to Lodge 1327 Chairman Richard Schiffhauer and the following committee members for their input in organizing this event: Sammy Smolko, Vicky Smolko, Paul Woznak, James Muir, Jeanne Fleegle, and Becky Henke.

The 60th anniversary of the tournament was filled with successful rounds of golf, friendship, and fun! Thank you all for your support and participation in this year’s tournament. We hope to see everyone next year!
