Secretary Giannoulias - A Friend of Polonia
On February 2, 2023, Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias visited the Polish National Alliance in Chicago to meet with President Frank Spula and other leaders of the Polish-American community. Giannoulias began by stating the PNA has been there for him from the beginning, and he thanked the Polish-American community for their support.
Giannoulias remarked, “The Polish Community in Chicago and Illinois represent the best of America.” He discussed his election promises, such as modernizing services and prioritizing transparency. Giannoulias also announced starting advisory committees so citizens can have access to offer their ideas, concerns, and complaints efficiently. Giannoulias finished by answering questions from representatives of Polish organizations.
