Casimir Pulaski Day Proclamation from Mayor Alpogianis
On February 28, 2023, Village of Niles Mayor George D. Alpogianis presented President Frank Spula of the Polish National Alliance and Polish American Congress with a proclamation in honor of Casimir Pulaski Day. The proclamation commemorates the life of General Pulaski who was essential to the United States’ victory during the Revolutionary War for Independence. General Pulaski is known as the “Father of the American Cavalry.” He is a Polish-American hero.
The Polish American Congress successfully lobbied for a day to celebrate General Pulaski who is an important symbol to the many Polish immigrants who reside in the United States. Mayor Alpogianis and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Niles proclaim that they celebrate and remember with gratitude the life of Casimir Pulaski on March 6, 2023.
President Spula was grateful to accept the proclamation on behalf of the PNA and PAC.
